What is WordPress?

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) allowing you easily manage your own website with no knowledge of coding etc. It’s written in PHP and stores the data in either a MySQL or MariaDB database. Features include a broad plugin selection and a template system, referred to within WordPress as Themes.

The ease of use combined with the accessibility makes it by far the most popular CMS in the World. WordPress powers over 40.0% of all the websites on the Internet, including some very high profile sites.

WordPress is an open-source content management system licensed under GPLv2, which means that anyone can use or modify the WordPress software for free.

Why we recommend WordPress

  • It is as secure as any enterprise solution
  • It provides easy to use and intuitive content management capabilities, including content editing, navigation, categories and media files
  • It supports multimedia including images, videos, twitter cards and more
  • It provides world class SEO capabilities (best in class according to Google)
  • It is scalable, fast and easy to distribute
  • It enables multi-site and multilingual capabilities
  • It provides multi-level user access rights, including admin, editors and authors
  • Its integrated blog has full moderation capabilities
  • It has built in RSS, XML and API functions
  • It is fully social media integrated

Another key benefit is that it’s fully portable and the support network is unlike any other software. All of this makes WordPress a solid choice as a company website or e-Commerce solution.

Can you customise WordPress to my unique requirements?

Yes. We design and develop fully custom WordPress solutions for our customers. This means that everything we design and develop is fully customised to suit your unique needs, both in terms of how you manage the site, and how it looks and works.

3

When you develop a custom WordPress theme for me, will it be mine?

Yes. The custom WordPress theme will be all yours as soon as you have settled your account with us. Note that sometimes we use a paid for plugin, which you will have to pay a license for.

4

Do you charge me more depending on how many pages I add to my WordPress website?
