Intertronics B2B WooCommerce website
Intertronics, based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is a B2B supplier of supplies adhesives, coatings, sealants and related equipment to customers with high technology, high performance assembly applications.
The Challenge
Intertronics already had a WooCommerce website up and running, but they approached us having issues with it not loading fast, being hard to use and manage, and not performing to well in search engines. After an initial consultation we were asked to completely rebuild it.
The Solution
Using WooCommerce when there there’s no Ecommerce might seem like overkill, but when the existing website was already using it, and there was a need for easy to use functionality, good search, good categorisation and filtering, it makes perfect sense. It also makes sense sticking to what you know and doing it well rather than reinventing the wheel.

With the new website we also introduced Elasticsearch for both the site search and facet filtering functions, and completely overhauled the user experience and web design. The new web design introduced a left column navigation which gives Intertronics more flexibility and room to grow, and a faster route to the content for the users.
